Joao Pereira Sporting Lisbon to Valencia
It’s all change at the Mestalla as Unai Emery has moved on to Spartak Moscow to be replaced by former Valencia player Mauricio Pellegrino. Their defence was fairly solid last year but there was a clear hole on the right hand side – Miguel has turned 32 and has started to slow down.
His replacement is a fellow Portuguese international though, as Joao Pereira has left Sporting Lisbon for a crack at La Liga. The 28 year old impressed at Euro 2012 and should provide some attacking prowess down the right flank – and at just under £3m, he’s an absolute bargain.
