There were some late goals and some high drama as la liga kicked-off it’s last round of games until the new year.

Real Madrid bounced back from last week’s clásico disappointment to hit Sevilla for six at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, giving themselves a three-point lead at the top of the table going into the winter break.

There were wins for Getafe, Athletic Club and Espanyol while Atletico Madrid were stunned at the Vicente Calderon by Real Betis.
