Sunderland have picked up their interest in Valencia striker Aritz Aduriz according to reports in today’s media.
Martin O’Neil is looking to strengthen his attacking options at the Stadium of Light and is reportedly looking at a possible loan deal for the Basque-born 30-year-old, who has made one senior appearance for the Spanish national side.
Aduriz has scored three goals in 18 appearances for Valencia this season but the former Athletic Club and Mallorca forward has fallen down the pecking order at the la liga club.
Sunderland have enjoyed a mini-rivival since O’Neill took the reigns from Steve Bruce in December and have lost just one of six Premier League games.
