EVERTON BACK IN FOR LUIS SUAREZ REPLACEMENT?
- Updated: 27 January, 2012
Everton have been put back on alert after Moroccan international Mounir El Hamdaoui’s move to Espanyol stalled yesterday.
The Ajax striker, who ironically replaced Liverpool-bound Luis Suarez at the club, was linked to Everton earlier this week although he had looked set to sign for Espanyol as his agent Sigi Lens travelled to Barcelona to tie up the deal with the la liga side.
However Catalan daily, SPORT are reporting talks have now stalled which has reopened the door for David Moyes to make a move for the 27-year-old.
Hamdaoui has hit 13 goals for the Dutch side this season and Everton boss Moyes is reportedly keen to add the player to his mis-firing forward line at Goodison Park
Everton have struggled for goals this season and are languishing in the bottom half of the Barclays Premier League.
