LIVERPOOL ON VERGE OF CAPTURING LA LIGA STAR

Liverpool have begun talks with Real Madrid over a loan deal for Spanish midfielder Esteban Granero, according to reports in both English and Spanish media.

The Daily Mail claim Kenny Dalglish is closing in on a deal which will take the 24-year-old to Anfield until the end of the season, with reports in Spain suggesting an agreement could be met within the next 24 hours.

Granero played during the his side’s victory over Athletic Club at the weekend but it understood to be keen on finalising the move to Liverpool.
