SUAREZ SPARKS €35M WAR BETWEEN EUROPEAN GIANTS
- Updated: 26 January, 2012
Liverpool’s Luis Suarez is set to spark a €35 million transfer battle between Inter and Real Madrid claim reports.
The Anfield hit man has been linked with Real Madrid for a number of weeks now but English newspapers The People and The Daily Mail both claim Serie A side Inter have joined the race to take the Uruguayan away from Merseyside.
There have been similar reports from Spain.
Liverpool progressed to the final of the League Cup last night, following a two-legged victory over Manchester City, but the 25-year-old is still serving an eight-match ban handed to him by the English FA following a racism charge.
Suarez is said to be unhappy with the treatment he received in the wake of that incident and reports suggest he is ready to quit Anfield.
The papers continue to claim any move for the Liverpool striker would not come until the summer however.
