UNITED AND LIVERPOOL SET TO LOSE OUT IN RACE FOR BRAZIL STAR
- Updated: 17 January, 2012
Real Madrid look favourites to beat Manchester United and Liverpool to the signature of Brazilian midfielder Lucas Moura.
The English clubs have both long been linked to the Sao Paulo player and have sent scouts to South America to monitor his progress, however reports from Spain suggest the current La Liga leaders will win the race to sign the 19-year-old’s signature.
Jose Mourinho’s side have been linked with a number of the game’s most promising youngsters in recent times, but Lucas now appears to be the prime target after seemingly losing out to rivals Barcelona in the bid to sign Brazil team mate, Neymar.
Manchester City, Inter and Liverpool have all also been linked with the player who recently scored is first international goal against Argentina.
