BALE READY TO SNUB BARÇA FOR SPURS FUTURE
- Updated: 9 February, 2012
Tottenham Hotspur star Gareth Bale is ready to snub Barcelona and commit his future to the English club according to newspaper, The Mirror.
Harry Redknapp is bracing himself for a flood of offers for the Welsh international during the summer, with his White Hart Lane future cast into further doubt this week when it was revealed Barca were tracking the player, however The Mirror today claim Bale wants to stay with Harry Redknapp’s side.
It is unclear on what foundation this story is based as it appears there has been no official comment on the matter from representatives of the players or either club involved, but the paper go on to claim: “The 22-year-old is happy at Spurs, and as long as they keep going in the right direction, he wants to stay for at least another year.”
Tottenham will be loath to let the 22-year-old leave the club as Harry Redknapp sees Bale as key to his long term plans.
