CHELSEA CLOSING IN ON KAKA
- Updated: 25 February, 2012
Chelsea are closing in on long-term target Kaka after reports in Spain claimed the Brazilian will be allowed to leave Real Madrid at the end of the season.
Andres Villas-Boas’ future at Stamford Bridge is currently uncertain but TalkSport last week claimed Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich may even make the decision to go for the player himself.
Now Marca are reporting Chelsea are ready to make a move for the player, should he leave Jose Mourinho’s side.
Kaka has struggled with injury since joining the Spanish club from Milan in 2009, but Chelsea have continuously shown heavy interest in bringing him to the Premier League.
Reports now suggest Madrid will listen to offers in the region of €32 million for the 29-year-old but Chelsea may face competition from French outfit PSG and Series A giants, Inter.
Chelsea have endured a disappointing season and officials at the club have highlighted the need for a massive overhaul of an ageing squad at Stamford Bridge.
