CHELSEA FIGHT LA LIGA GIANTS FOR BRAZILIAN SENSATION
- Updated: 12 February, 2012
Chelsea are set to fight it out with Real Madrid for the signature of Brazilian wonder kid Dentinho, according to media claims coming out of South America and Europe.
Andres Villa-Boas sent Chelsea scouts to Brazil on a number of occasions before the player moved to Shakhtar Donetsk last month according to O Globo and are said to be still very interested in the 23-year-old striker, whose real name is Bruno Ferreira Bonfim.
Reports on itasportpress today also claim Jose Mourinho’s Real Madrid are now showing interest in the former-Corinthians hit man who moved to Ukraine for €7.5 million.
The Spanish league leaders are already looking for possible transfer targets for next season and have been heavily linked with a move for Robin van Persie and Neymar, however it appears unlikely either player will move to the Santiago Bernabeu, with Neymar reportedly set for La Liga rivals Barcelona.
Chelsea are said to have rekindled their interest in Dentinho after their attempts to sign fellow Shakhtar Brazilian, Willian failed to materialise after negotiations broke down last month.
