CHELSEA SET FOR TRIPLE LA LIGA SWOOP
- Updated: 8 February, 2012
Chelsea have again been linked with a summer move for three of the biggest names in Spanish football.
Andres Villas-Boas seems to be heading for the Stamford Bridge exit as Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich becomes frustrated at his club’s inconsistency this season, and the blues have been linked with a move for former-boss Jose Mourinho who is currently in charge at Real Madrid.
Goal.com’s Spanish site suggest the Portuguese coach will move back to London during the summer as his tenure at the Santiago Bernabeu becomes ever more strained as Real Madrid attempt to break the current dominance help by rivals Barcelona.
Mourinho will begin a clear out should he return to England and has allegedly earmarked current player Gonzalo Higuain and Atletico Madrid hit man Radamel Falcao as the men he wants to spearhead the revolution.
Chelsea are 14 points behind league leaders, Manchester City and face a four-way fight to secure Champions League football at Stamford Bridge again next season.
