GARETH BALE WILL NOT BE COMING TO BARÇA SAYS ZUBI
- Updated: 5 February, 2012
Tottenham Hotspur full back Gareth Bale will not be signing for Barcelona according to the Catalan club’s sporting director, Andoni Zubizarreta.
The Spurs star has been linked with a move away from White Hart Lane in recent weeks although Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has continually denied the rumours.
Zubizarreta has also been quoted in this mornings Mundo Deportivo denying his club are going to sign the Welshman, saying: “It is not true that we have been in talks with the London club about this player.”
The former Barça and Spain goalkeeper went on to claim Bale would not be a realistic target as Tottenham’s valuation of the player is beyond Barcelona’s budget.
However other reports suggest Redknapp will have a fight on his hands to keep Spurs’ star man at White Hart Lane next season.
