REAL MADRID PLOTTING AGUERO SWOOP
- Updated: 3 February, 2012
Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has become Real Madrid’s number one summer transfer target according to reports today.
Aguero has been in scintillating form for Roberto Mancini’s men and has settled well at the Etihad Stadium, however the Daily Mail claim Spanish giants Real Madrid are plotting to test City’s resolve with a huge offer for the player during the summer.
Mancini has guided City to the top of the table as they look for their first league title in 44 years, and Aguero has bagged 18 goals in 28 games at Eastlands.
This form has lead Real Madrid to rekindle their interest in a player who they attempted to sign when he left neighbours, Atletico Madrid.
The reports claim the Spanish side will sell Gonzalo Higuain to Chelsea to finance the move.
It is understood that Aguero is happy at Manchester City and any approach for the player will be rebuffed.
