Gerry Armstrong

Sky Sports commentator Gerry Armstrong spent two years in Spain with Real Mallorca from 1983-1985. Mallorca had just won promotion to the top flight and Armstrong was signed to fire the goals to keep them in the division.

Unfortunately he was unsuccessful as they were relegated the following year. Armstrong remained at the club for the following season in division 2 but left for West Brom on a free transfer a year later. He represented the islanders 55 times scoring 13 goals.
