TORRES ON HIS WAY TO BARCELONA CLAIM REPORTS
- Updated: 6 February, 2012
Chelsea forward Fernando Torres has been linked with a summer switch to Barcelona in reports circulating in Spain.
The Stamford Bridge striker has been struggling for form since Chelsea brought him from Liverpool last year and recent speculation suggested manager Andres Villas-Boas had finally lost patience with the player.
Spanish radio station Cadena Ser now claim Barcelona will attempt to bring him back to Spain during the summer.
Barca have long been linked with the 27-year-old but seemed to have lost interest due to the former Atletico Madrid hit man’s dip in form, however the story now claims the Catalan giants could rekindle their interest should David Villa leave the Camp Nou.
Torres struggled again yesterday as Chelsea saw a three goal lead slip against Manchester United at Stamford Bridge.
