VAN PERSIE ‘NOT’ LEAVING ARSENAL FOR SPAIN

Arsenal striker Robin Van Persie is not on the agenda at Barcelona at present and doesn’t want a move to Real Madrid says Spanish journalist, Guillem Balague.
Arsene Wenger was furious with sports daily MARCA last week when they reported Van Persie has said he wanted to leave Arsenal and would be “excited” to join Jose Mourinho’s side. He has also been heavily linked with a switch to Barcelona.
However Balague told Sky Sports: “I’m hearing that actually he is not particularly bothered about going to Real Madrid. Barcelona would be a different story but Barcelona don’t want him at this stage.
“But we will see. He only has one year left on his contract, he will cost £25m which may just interest Barcelona and Real Madrid to the point that they want him. But at the moment neither want him.”
Arsenal fans would be delighted if Van Persie were to remain at the Emirates Stadium as he has been in blistering form this season.
