Barcelona’s Jean Marie Dongou scored his first senior goal on Sunday as the club’s B team defeated Alcoyano 2-1 in their Liga Adelante encounter at the miniestadi.
Seen by many as the brightest prospect to remerge from Barça’s famed la Masia in recent years, the 16-year-old Cameroon striker scored the winner with his first touch of the ball in Sunday’s game against the side from Valencia.
Elsewhere, Deportivo la Coruña strolled to a comfortable 2-0 victory over Cordoba to extend their lead at the top of la Segunda to seven points.
Second-placed Celta were held to a 1-1 draw at struggling Huesca while Valladolid romped to a 4-1 victory at Numancia to close the gap on the Galicians in third.
At the bottom, Gimnastic secured a surprise victory at high-flying Hercules to move level on points with Girona. The Catalans drew 1-1 with Cartagena in a result that leaves both sides still routed in the relegation zone.
