Alba is a versatile player but has played primarily at left back or left midfield for Valencia. He has been Spain’s starting left back in their last few matches, seemingly putting to rest any speculation over who would be Joan Capdevilas replacement for la Roja. He is quick, has a great left foot, defends well, and is a constant threat up and down the left flank for both club and country.
Barcelona have shown interest in their former youth product along with Manchester United, and it seems unlikely Alba will remain at the Mestalla in the long term.
