REAL MADRID LINE UP AUDACIOUS AGUERO BID
- Updated: 2 March, 2012
Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero will be the target of an audacious swap deal with Real Madrid’s Gonzalo Higuain according to the front page of today’s Marca.
Aguero arrived at the Etihad Stadium last summer and has been one of City’s key men as Roberto Mancini attempts to guide the club to their first English league crown since 1968.
Having enjoyed a successful debut season with Manchester City, Aguero would not come cheap and Marca report that if Mancini declines the offer of Higuain, a €45 million bid for Aguero could still be in the offering.
Despite the striker recently declaring that he is happy in England, Marca state that a move back to the Spanish capital would be a hugely attractive proposition to Aguero and claim the Argentine could well force the move himself.
However if the rumours of a clause inserted into the deal that took Aguero to Manchester City, specifying that City cannot sell him directly to Real Madrid, are true then all this speculation is irrelevant.
