UNITED SET TO MOVE IN ON REAL MADRID STAR
- Updated: 4 March, 2012
Sir Alex Ferguson is ready to resume his interest in taking Lassana Diarra to Manchester United say Spanish media reports today.
United have been linked with a move for the Real Madrid midfielder for a number of months and Ferguson is still keen to bring the experienced French international to Old Trafford.
Spanish website Fichajes.net now claim Lass will be the English club’s number one summer transfer target as Ferguson tries to strengthen a midfield he was forced to bring retired veteran Paul Scholes back into at the start of the year.
Lass has struggled to establish himself in Jose Mourinho’s starting line-up this season and has featured in just 19 games in all competitions for los Blancos.
The 26-year-old former Chelsea, Arsenal and Portsmouth player is rumoured to want a move back to England and Ferguson could well step up his attempts to bring Lass to Old Trafford during the summer say the reports.
