VILLA EYE SUMMER MOVE FOR SPANISH BOSS
- Updated: 9 March, 2012
Aston Villa are monitoring the situation of Juan Ignacio Martinez and could be ready to make a summer move for the Levante coach according to Spanish daily SuperDeporte.
Villa sit 15th in the Premier League under current boss Alex McLeish and it is believed club owners are unhappy with the team’s performance under the former-Birmingham City man.
Levante have had a memorable season so far and moved back into the top four of la liga after defeating Real Betis on Monday night.
The story also claims Sunderland, Norwich City and West Bromwich Albion are interest in the 47-year-old tactician.
Aston Villa fans were angered when McLeish took over at the club last summer and the side’s poor performance this season has put pressure on the Scottish manager who spent four seasons at their bitter rivals.
