Spurs plan double raid on Spanish internationals
- Updated: 23 June, 2012
Tottenham Hotspur are eyeing a double swoop for Bruno Soriano and Benat Extebarria according to reports on Italian sports website Tutto Mercato.
Spurs have recently parted company with former boss Harry Redknapp and are yet to appoint a new manger, however it is reported the White Hart Lane club are interesting in signing the Spanish midfielders should Croatian star Luka Modric leave during the summer.
Bruno Soriano came through the ranks at Villarreal and has been capped four times by Spain, however it it widely expected he will leave the club following their relegation to the Segunda Division last season.
Benat meanwhile had a fantastic season at Real Betis and the former Athletic Club player was rewarded with his first international cap during Spain’s 2-0 victory against Serbia last month.
Tottenham are still searching for a new coach after Redknapp was sacked last week, however it appears this has not stopped Spurs officials planning ahead if the reports are to believed.
