Arsenal linked with swoop for La Liga midfield ace
- Updated: 27 July, 2012
Arsenal have been linked with a loan move for Real Madrid midfielder Nuri Sahin according to TalkSPORT.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is said to be ready to rescue the Turkish international from his unhappy time at the Bernabeu by bringing him to Arsenal ahead of the new season.
Spanish radio station Cadena Ser are said to be the source of the information after speculation grew following the omission of the former Borussia Dortmund star, from Jose Mourinho’s squad that will face Benfica on Friday in Lisbon.
The 23-year-old joined the Spanish giants from Dortmund last summer after Florentino Perez sanctioned a reported €10 million deal for German-born star.
Sahin has struggled to establish himself in Spain however, and speculation has been rife of a switch elsewhere to secure first team football.
Arsenal have already been busy in the transfer market this summer with Lukas Podolski and Olivier Giroud both arriving at the Emirates Stadium.
