Oscar de Marcos
Of all the players to improve their game under Marcelo Bielsa, De Marcos arguably tops the lot. Relatively unheard of by those outside of Spain, De Marcos burst onto the scene with goals against Manchester United and Shalke in the Europa League.
The 23 year old underwent his first substantial season featuring in 56 games, a number only bettered by Markel Susaeta. Despite featuring in two cup finals Athletic had a reality check in the league with a 10th place finish, dropping four places from the previous year.
Bielsa looks set to remain as manager of the Basque club and De Marcos will no look to continue his rise to stardom under the Argentine manager.
