Arsenal forward Carlos Vela will sign for Real Sociedad on a four-year according to claims from Spanish sports daily, MARCA.
The Mexican international flew to San Sebastian for talks today and MARCA claim Arsenal have agreed to sell Vela, who moved to the Emirates Stadium from Guadalajara aged just 16.
The 23-year-old forward has struggled to establish himself under Arsene Weneger and has been sent him out on a number of loans over recent seasons – including last year at la Real.
Vela soon settled at the Basque outfit and impressed many as he netted 10 goals in his final 18 games for Phillipe Montanier’s side.
Capped 35 times by Mexico, Vela arrived in North London with huge potential, however, he has failed to make any significant impression on the first team and has only managed 29 appearances for Wenger’s side.
There has been no confirmation of a the transfer fee involved, however it was recently claimed by Mundo Deportivo that Arsenal were looking for around £6million.
