Tottenham Hotspur could be set to launch a bid for Real Madrid midfielder Lassana Diarra according to reports from the Mail Online.
New Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas is said to have £50 million to spend on new players and it is suggested he wants to spend some of that on bringing the former Portsmouth man to White Hart Lane.
The French international has one year left on his contract at the Santiago Bernabeu however it is believed he could be allowed to leave the club for as little as £4 million.
Lass arrived at the Spanish giants in the summer of 2009 but has since struggled to establish himself under Jose Mourinho.
The 28-year-old is also attracting interest from fellow English Premier League sides Everton and QPR as well as a number of clubs on the continent.
Tottenham have been linked with the player before when reports from the Mail Online suggested former Spurs boss Harry Redknapp wanted to sign Lass last August.
