Manchester United’s Portuguese star Nani is a reported target for Spanish champions Real Madrid claim TalkSPORT.
The winger is a key component of Sir Alex Ferguson’s United side but is yet is to renew his current contract at Old Trafford, despite the club’s desire to extend his stay in Manchester.
Now TalkSPORT quote sources on protransfers.ru to suggest Real Madrid are lining up a surprise swoop for the 25-year-old, believed to be in the region of £19.7 million.
Nani arrived at Old Trafford from Sporting Portugal seven years ago, in a deal reported to have cost United £25.5 million and has gone on to play over 120 games for Ferguson’s side.
Capped 59 times by Portugal, the Praia-born star has established himself as one of the most consistent performers in the Premier League and scored 10 goals in 40 games for United last season.
It is claimed the La Liga side believe their chances or taking Nani from Old Trafford could be boosted as the player shares the same agent as coach Jose Mourinho and former United favourite Cristiano Ronaldo.
