The top five La Liga transfers of the summer so far

As we head into the final few weeks of the summer transfer window, many teams in Spain have already done much of their business, looking to strengthen their squads ahead of another La Liga campaign.
However, with the country’s economic situation currently in a somewhat precarious state, this business has come under focus like never before. Gone are the days when Real Madrid could break the transfer record twice in the space of a few days, and gone are the days when spending levels hit new heights season upon season.
That is not to say there has been any less exciting deals being done in Spain of course, a number of players have switched clubs this summer that may just become household names during the course of the 2012/13 season.
Over the next few pages, Olly Dawes gives his opinion on these deals and reveals who he thinks are the top five La Liga transfers of the summer so far.
