La Liga giants eye Tottenham transfer raid
- Updated: 20 November, 2012
Tottenham Hotspur could face a battle to keep hold of two of their brightest young talents according to The Daily Star, who claim Barcelona and Real Madrid eyeing a transfer swoop.
Teenagers Alex Pritchard and Shaquille Coulthirst are two of the hottest prospects at White Hart Lane and have starred for Tottenham in this season’s Next Gen series.
These impressive performances for Tottenham’s Under-19 side are understood to have caught the eye of the Spanish giants with Barcelona said to be tracking Coulthirst and La Liga champions Madrid eyeing a move for Pritchard.
Both players have bagged four goals each to make them joint top scorers in the competition – youth football’s equivalent of the Uefa Champions League.
Tottenham will be loath to let any of their young talent leave White Hart Lane but the lure of Spain’s big two may prove too much an incentive to ignore for the talented teenagers.
