“ALL I CAN DO IS CONTINUE TO SCORE GOALS.”

Roberto Soldado was in a typical modest mood after notching his first European hat trick during Valencia’s 7-0 thumping of Genk on Wednesday night.
The 26-year-old hitman is currently one of the hottest strikers in Spain and was instrumental in his sides dismantling of the Belgian champions at the Mestalla.
Despite his magnificent treble however, Soldado chose to focus on the contribution of his team mates.
Speaking after the game he said: “This is very special for me but my team mates made it happen. Winning by such a big margin will do us a world of good as well – it will boost the confidence of all those who scored tonight.”
Soldado’s blistering form this season has increased call for the Valecnia-born player to get his chance in the Spanish national side but the player was coy when asked about his chances of breaking into Vicente De Bosque’s team: “It’s really nice to hear the fans chanting that I should be in the national side but I don’t know what to say.
“All I can do is continue scoring goals and helping my team win.”
Valecnia fans will certainly be hoping he does just that.
