LIVERPOOL ON VERGE OF SIGNING SPANISH STAR
- Updated: 20 January, 2012
Liverpool are on the verge of finalising the deal to bring Esteban Granero to Anfield according to intensifying reports in the Spanish media.
Kenny Dalglish has long-tracked the Real Madrid midfielder and the Merseyside club are now said to be in pole position to bring him to the Barclays Premier League.
The 24-year-old is unhappy with limited playing time at the Bernabeu and sees a move to Anfield as the ideal solution to his problem.
Dalglish is looking to strengthen the Liverpool squad and Granero is seen by many as a player who could help the Scottish coach do this.
Some reports suggest a deal could even be done in the next few days.
